Connecting Employers to Local Schools

The Magnify Initiative is focused on developing a strong talent pipeline in our community by connecting local schools and local businesses.

This will provide businesses with talent and students with invaluable experiences. Being part of this initiative will provide you another opportunity to invest in your community and contribute to the creation of a pipeline of talent that will benefit our region.

Internships

An internship is a short-term, paid work experience. Internships have an emphasis on “on-the-job training” rather than merely employment. A key aspect of internships is to expose students to the industry. Internships help contribute to the development of a strong talent pipeline in a community.

Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is a long term work experience that can last anywhere from 1 to 5 years in which an individual receives on-the-job training and related technicial instruction. Apprenticeships must be registered with the Ohio Apprenticeship Council. If you are interested in creating an apprenticeship at your organization, please contact Kaitlyn Tyler for more information at ktyler@greaterspringfield.com
